Amongst the many rooms that Tsubajin has to offer, the most prestigious room, ‘Tsukinoma` was loved by some of the most famous writers of their periods. Saisei Muroh, one of the greatest writers from Kanazawa, had a splendid time in this room with his friend, Ryunosuke Akutagawa. Although the scenery outside the window has changed as time passes by, the gentle moonlight remains unchanged, illuminating Kanazawa as it has always done before.
Enjoy a good drink and compose a haiku in this special room with Basho’s presence in the air.
While writing Okuno-hosomichi, Basho Matsuo visited Kanazawa and held haiku meetings at Koharuan. He also lodged at Ginpunoma for nine days. Enjoy dinner in a room that preserves the same atmosphere of Basho’s time. Perhaps you too can successfully compose the most beautiful haiku poem you have ever created.

Umenoma is the oldest room in TSUBAJIN. We would like to recommend couples to privately celebrate special events such as retirements and silver and gold wedding anniversaries in this room. It`s perfect for sharing a relaxing special time together.
Consider enjoying not only a meal, but also being entertained while you eat by Geisha performers.
You can also have dinner while enjoying Kanazawa-Geiji’s (Geisha performers) perform traditional songs and dances without the bother of going to the tea or Geisha districts. Enjoy this ornate entertainment of Kanazawa, a city in which it is said that the sounds of Noh, a classical Japanese musical drama, fall like rain from the sky. One Kanazawa-Geiji charges \35,000 per hundred minutes.
